The four American F-15 jets stationed in Iceland along with five rescue helicopters at Keflavík Naval Air Station will be relocated to Lakenheath, England. These jets have been the subject of heavy debate since it was announced that the United States would close their base in Iceland. But due to the protests of the former Icelandic goverment under Davíð Oddson they were kept here in Iceland as a visible defense option; however, the American goverment revoked their agreement last spring with the aforementioned consequenses. -mld
