Elegantly Brutal

Every so often a romantically linked literary duo pops up, reminding one of previous duos Zelda and Scott Fitzgerald, Gertrude Stein and Alice B. Toklas, and Sylvia Plath and Ted Hughes. And in Long Island, Iceland has its own couple, Þórdís Björnsdóttir and Jesse Ball. Þórdís comes from Reykjavík and has a B.A. in comparative literature, and Jesse holds degrees from Vassar College and Columbia University. Both are established writers and between them have written novels, poetry, novellas and other works.
