Kylfingurinn Arnold Palmer lést í gær, 87 ára að aldri.

Palmer var einn þekktasti kylfingur sögunnar og átti stóran þátt í að auka vinsældir íþróttarinnar.

Palmer vann 62 sigra á PGA mótaröðinni auk þess að vinna Masters mótið fjórum sinnum, Opna breska tvisvar og Opna bandaríska einu sinni.

Fjölmargir minntust Kóngsins, eins og Palmer var stundum kallaður, á samfélagsmiðlum eftir að fréttir af andláti hans bárust.
